About Dr Andrea Rajnakova
Dr Andrea Rajnakova completed her basic medical degree (MD, Hons) in 1992 and subsequently her specialist training in Internal Medicine and postgraduate degree, Master of Medicine (M.Med, Hons) in 1995 in Slovakia, her birth country. After that, she moved with her husband to Singapore to start her doctorate medical studies at the National University of Singapore (NUS) as a PhD scholar, finishing her thesis on gastric cancer in 2000.
Dr Rajnakova received the membership of the Royal Colleges of Physicians of the UK, MRCP (UK) and Master of Internal Medicine, Singapore (MMed) and was awarded the Fellowship of the Academy of Singapore in Gastroenterology (FAMS). On top of that, she also speaks a diverse array of languages; she is fluent in English, Czech, Slovak, and Russian.
Dr Rajnakova was a Consultant in the Department of Gastroenterology and Hepatology, National University Hospital (NUH). She also served both as a clinical tutor for undergraduate and postgraduate students in the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, as well as a mentor and endoscopy trainer for specialists and endoscopy trainees.
After leaving NUH in 2010, she opened her private practice Andrea’s Digestive Clinic at Mount Elizabeth Orchard, and recently she set up her new clinic at Royal Square at Novena.
Dr Rajnakova aims to offer a comprehensive array of services to her patients and has a range of interests that cover therapeutic endoscopy, celiac disease, food allergies, and diet and nutrition.
