Dr Charles Toh is the Fellow in Clinical Cardiology, American Heart Association and a Fellow of the American Heart Association. He was appointed the President of the Singapore Cardiac Society twice previously. He organised the 5th Asia Pacific Congress of Cardiology back in 1972 and he was responsible for advising the Ministry of Health (MOH) on the establishment of the National Heart Centre.
Dr Charles Toh was appointed the Chairman of the Advisory Committee on the development of the National Heart Centre and as a member of the Executive Committee of the National Heart Centre. Dr Toh was appointed the Chairman of the National Medical Research Council for 4 years from 1994, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, National Cancer Centre Research Fund currently, member of the Board of Trustees, Singapore Cardiac Society and member of the Subcommittee on Medical Specialisation for a year.
