Dr Cheong Lai Leng obtained her MBBS in 1985 and her Master of Medicine in 1990 at the National University of Singapore in 1985. She attained her MRCP (Internal Medicine) in the United Kingdom and is a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine in Singapore (Dermatology). She completed her residency at the National Skin Centre in 1993 and she underwent subspecialty training at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation at Cleveland, Ohio, the USA for 2 years for Dermatologic Surgery.
She is an accredited dermatologist and her clinical and research interests include laser therapy, cosmetic dermatology, skin resurfacing and cold-steel surgery. She has lectured at medical conferences as well as public forums on her clinical interest which include laser therapy, cold-steel surgery, cosmetic dermatology, techniques in skin resurfacing with the carbon dioxide laser and CoolTouch3 laser, photorejuvenation of the skin.
