What should I expect from my first consultation for dental implants?

Hello there,Thank you for your enquiry! Usually a comprehensive consultation for dental implants would include first and foremost a thorough assessment of your medical health including the medications that you may be taking. This is important so as to ensure that you are medically fit for dental implants therapy. Subsequently clinical and radiographic (X-ray, CT scan) examinations will be performed to check on the health of your overall dental teeth and gums and also the amount of bone left in the site that you are keen to replace with an implant.

How can I fix an uneven gum line?

Congratulations on your upcoming wedding! There are several reasons for an uneven gum line - sometimes it’s a skeletal/jaw problem that in turn influences the position of the teeth and gums; sometimes it could be the gums that didn’t retreat as the teeth erupted; or sometimes it could be the position or hyperactivity of the lip that results in more gums shown when you smile as your lip moves up. Depending on the underlying cause, the treatment options would vary. If it’s purely some excessive gums, a non-complicated gum surgery can be performed to fix the uneven look.
