About Dr Dede Selamat Sutedja

Dr Dede obtained his MBBS from the National University of Singapore in 1989 and became a member of the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh, UK in 1993. He then became a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore in 1999 and a fellow of the Royal Colleges of Physicians of Glasgow, UK in 2004.

Dr Dede is a specialist in internal medicine, gastroenterology and hepatology for about 20 years in Singapore's restructured hospitals and currently practices at Gleneagles Hospital, Singapore. He offers comprehensive diagnostic tests as well as therapeutic services, ranging from the treatment of dyspepsia, food intolerances, irritable bowel syndrome, and GERD (Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease), to treating conditions such as fatty liver, Hepatitis B and C, inflammatory bowel disease, liver cirrhosis, cancer, and rectal bleeding

He performs ERCP, endoscopic removal of bile duct stones and bile duct stent insertion, as well as endoscopic removal of polyps or early tumours of the gastrointestinal tract, endoscopy therapy for gastro-intestinal bleeding, percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy and immunotherapy for inflammatory bowel diseases, and colorectal cancer.

Dr Dede actively contributes to share his knowledge and experience into various local and overseas medical publications and public talks, especially on the treatments of various types of liver diseases.

Alongside with his academic and clinical achievements, his outstanding services make him recognized at the national level and received Gold Medalist Service Awards by Spring Singapore for his personalized care and emphatic towards his patients. He has great passion to improve the quality of lives of patients with gallbladder, liver, pancreas, stomach, colon, and small intestines disorders.
