About Dr King Hee Ho

Dr Ho King Hee taught Neurology and Internal Medicine in the National University of Singapore (NUS) for a few years then left for private practice K H Ho Neurology and Medical Clinic at the Gleneagles Medical Centre in 2001. He trained for giddiness, balance disorders and neurophysiology at the Institute of Neurology, Queen Square, London and in Oxford University.

Dr Ho has created various articles on headache epidemiology in Singapore. On top of that, he has held many positions such as:

  • Founder-President of the Singapore chapter of the International Headache Society
  • Member of the Singapore Ministry of Health Clinical Practice Guideline Workgroups on headache and cancer pain
  • Member of the Pain Advisory Board of Singapore
  • Advisory Board Member of the Epilepsy Care Group of Singapore

How does a previous stroke affect blood pressure measurement?

In the immediate aftermath of a stroke the blood pressure may be raised, especially when the stroke is due to bursting of a blood vessel. However, a stroke generally does not affect blood pressure, it is a persistently raised blood pressure that greatly increases the chance of a stroke.

No. The Road Traffic Act officially excludes patients with epilepsy from driving. Your doctor will advise you of this fact.
