Went to Dr. Israr to do Picosure laser therapy. I was so worried and anxious before the procedure I could barely sleep the night before! I actually had nightmares that my skin would become red and flaky and wouldn’t heal after the procedure. Prior to the procedure, Dr. Israr used humour and sill...

I read about Zfield from an online blogger and decided to search the net for someone who specialised in it. Turns out, I chanced upon Dr. Wong’s clinic and had a really good experience there! He did several Zfield sessions with me and the experience was definitely enjoyable. I would say that compar...

I previously had a few terrible experiences at other clinics for pigmentation removal. The lasers they chose to use caused some severe redness on my face that wouldn’t go away for days and couldn’t even be adequately covered by makeup. Dr. Israr took the time to talk me through my condition and ex...

Thermage, Ultherapy & Dysport Dermalift In Singapore: Cost & Comparison (2020)

I've noticed a trend as a medical aesthetic doctor over the last 5 years - surgical facelifts are waning in popularity amongst Singaporeans, mainly for the following 2 reasons:

  1. Prolonged downtime is not an option for most patients in Singapore. Facelift surgeries result in a lengthy recovery period of 2 - 4 weeks (sometimes up to 3 months).
  2. Society attaches a big taboo to “plastic surgery”. The number of people who tell you that they've done plastic surgery on their faces is probably less than the number of times that you've won 4D.

Hence, it's no wonder that the number of options for NON-SURGICAL face-lifts and skin tightening have increased drastically in recent years.

Hair Loss Treatment In Singapore: A Doctor's Guide (2020)

About 99% of hair loss treatments in Singapore that you see advertised on local media do not work at all. You probably know exactly which adverts I'm talking about - they often feature Mediacorp artistes.

Just how much money is wasted on these ineffective treatments? A lot. Hair loss treatment is a whopping $3.5 billion industry.

First, we need to identify the offending thread that is usually extruded or causing issues like redness, swelling, pus discharge. It would be best for the treating doctor to be the one removing it as he knows the depth and area of placement. Then we will inject local anaesthesia, m...

Basically HIFU and Ultherapy are referring to the same technology. Ultherapy is the first and original HIFU technology used for the face and neck for skin tightening. HIFU is the generic technology of high intensity focused ultrasound. Since then, there are many different version...

It is normal to experience some swelling after any filler treatment (this is generally with any injections to the face). I assume you are referring to excessive swelling out of the ordinary. This could be too much volume injected in a small area or uneven placement of filler resu...
