Dr Ivy Yap is a Gastrointestinal and Hepatobiliary specialist. She was awarded the PSC merit scholarship to study at the University of Singapore (1973-1978) and Singapore Government Scholarship (1982)to pursue her medical degree. She furthered her studies by receiving a China Medical Board Scholarship for an overseas fellowship attachment at the London Royal Free Hospital in 1985.
Dr Yap was a senior consultant in NUH since 1993 and was previously associate professor in Medicine National University of Singapore (NUS).
Dr Yap was a trained specialist with a special interest in treating Chronic B & C, fatty liver disease, Cirrhosis. She also performs diagnostic and therapeutic gastroenterology, colonoscopy, polypectomy and pile ligation as well as managing gastro-intestinal problems like abdomenal pain, bloating, chronic diarrhoea, constipation, and GI bleeding.
