Treatment For Facial Skin Laxity: The True Lift Technique

youtube video preview

Retaining ligaments are fibres that hold up the superficial muscular aponeurotic system layer of the face. These ligaments play a part in holding up the soft tissues of the face.

The True Lift technique that treats skin laxity was created by Taiwanese plastic surgeon Dr Peter Huang and Galderma. A hyaluronic acid filler called Restylane Lyft is used in five injection points on each side of the face.

These injection points target the retaining ligaments to treat the root causes of sagging skin in suitable patients. This can help improve the appearance of:

• Drooping of the corners of the eye
• Flattened cheeks
• Sagging of the midface area
• Deepened nasolabial folds, and
• Drooping mouth corners and jowls.

Stubborn Whiteheads: Doctors Share Tips On Removing Them
Stubborn Whiteheads: Doctors Share Tips On Removing Them

Acne comes in many forms, and whiteheads are one of them. You may notice them as small, round, white bumps on the skin's surface.

Sometimes, whiteheads can be extremely stubborn to remove, even persisting after facial extractions. Also known as closed comedones, whiteheads occur when a pore in the skin is blocked with oil, keratin, and/or bacteria.

This was the plight faced by a DoctorxDentist reader. He wanted to know why his whiteheads were recurring even after thorough facial extractions.

He wondered if he should continue the extractions to remove the whiteheads or if he should try other medication. Doctors from the DoctorxDentist community responded with these pieces of advice.
