Dr Chu obtained an honors degree in Biochemistry from the University of Wisconsin-Madison (USA) and was subsequently awarded his medical degree in 2002. at the University of Edinburgh, UK. He obtained his MRCP at Edinburgh and is registered both in General Medical Council (UK) and the Singapore Medical Council. Having worked both locally and abroad, he has extensive experience treating both Asian and Caucasian skin types.
At present, he is a consultant dermatologist at Loke Skin Clinic since 2017. Prior to that, he was a consultant dermatologist at National Skin Centre, Singapore and worked at the National Skin Centre and headed the Eczema Clinic. His clinical interest includes skin allergy and urticaria at St John's Institute of Dermatology in London. He was also a clinic tutor at both the National University of Singapore and the University of Edinburgh.
