Dr Tan graduated from Leicester University (UK) in 1989 and undertook training in various subspecialties and completed his cardiology training in 1999. Subsequently, he moved to Australia to hone his skills in echocardiology and is an accredited Echocardiologist certified to perform 2D echo, Treadmill stress echo, Dobutamine stress echo and Trans­oesophageal echocardiography.
