Dr. Tang Panmei is an orthodontist with a keen interest in aesthetic orthodontics. Previously an orthodontic consultant with Tan Tock Seng and Khoo Teck Puat Hospitals, she currently practices at Aesthetic & Dental Surgery, Singapore as the Specialist Consultant and Chief Dental Director.
Dr. Tang graduated in 2005 with a BDS from the National University of Singapore (NUS), where she held key positions in the Asia Pacific Dental Student Association (APDSA) and the Dental Society. During her time there, she had the opportunity to represent Singapore at the 32nd APDSA Scientific Research Competition. The research that she presented for the competition later won the first prize at the International Dental Exhibition and Meeting (IDEM) Research Poster Competition in 2006.
Dr. Tang went on to pursue orthodontics after being awarded a scholarship by Tan Tock Seng Hospital. She completed her MDS (Orthodontics) at NUS with dual accreditation from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, United Kingdom in 2010.
As a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine of Singapore, Dr. Tang's research in 3-conebeam computed tomography was presented at numerous international conferences in Asia, Europe and United States of America. She is also a member of many professional associations in her field, and holds various key positions in their committees. One significant contribution is her role in the Association of Orthodontists, Singapore (AOS), where she currently serves as a council member and Chairperson of Continuing Professional Education (CPE) committee.
Her other professional memberships include The World Federation of Orthodontists (WFO), Singapore Dental Association (SDA) and Association of Women Doctors, Singapore.
Dr Tang is certified as an Invisalign® Provider, Incognito™ Lingual Orthodontic System and Simpliclear®.
