Overview
Dr Terence Goh is a MOH-accredited plastic surgeon who specialises in aesthetic and reconstructive microsurgery. The current President of the Singapore Association of Plastic Surgeons, he also serves as the Vice-Chairman of the Chapter of Plastic Surgeons Academy of Medicine, Singapore. His practise centres around the principles of providing his patients with procedures specially tailored to the individual, to deliver improved but naturally beautiful results that enhance and complement the individuals features.

One of the few surgeons to combine the intricate skills of microsurgery with aesthetic surgery, Dr Goh specialises in surgery of the Asian face, particularly Asian eyelid surgery and rhinoplasty. He also has interests in mummy makeovers, breast augmentation, body contouring and liposuction. Dr Goh also maintains his practise in reconstructive microsurgery, focusing on breast reconstruction, complex head and neck reconstruction, and lower limb salvage.

After graduating from the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore, he went on to complete his special training in General Surgery, eventually obtaining a Masters of Medicine in General Surgery. Through his keen aesthetic eye, and artistic and technical expertise, he was selected into the Department of Plastic Surgery at Singapore General Hospital (SGH), Singapore’s oldest and largest hospital, where he continues to serve as a visiting consultant.

To further develop his own specially curated technique, Dr Goh has also completed numerous observerships with renowned plastic surgeons in the United States, Europe, Australia and Asia. A firm believer in constant self-improvement and further honing his skills, Dr Goh also went on to do a fellowship at the prestigious Asan Medical Centre in Seoul, South Korea. It was during his stint here where he had the opportunity to meet and learn from some of the top cosmetic and reconstructive surgeons in Korea, where he continues to work closely with them, returning annually to give talks at their international conferences.

As a Consultant Plastic Surgeon in the Department of Plastic Surgery at SGH, Dr Goh also served as core faculty in the  Plastic Surgery Residency Program and holds the appointment of Adjunct Assistant Professor at the Duke-NUS Graduate School of Medicines. Passionate about academia and research, Dr Goh has published more than 30 articles in international plastic surgery journals, and also contributed to several textbooks in plastic surgery. He has also spoken at numerous regional and international conferences in the United States, Europe and Asia.

Outside of work, Dr Goh enjoys going on long runs and spending quality time with his family. One of his proudest moments was when he recently became a father to his little baby girl, Alison. A keen believer in giving back, Dr Goh volunteers his time with Operation Smile and conducts regular mission trips to the  Ang Kor Hospital for Children in Cambodia.

Regardless of whether a patient is recovering from an illness, accident or simply wants a boost to help them feel better about their bodies, knowing that he is helping to improve the quality of their lives is what drives Dr Goh’s passion. Through personalised comprehensive consultation in a private space, paired with Dr Goh’s approachable personality, and meticulous attention to detail, Dr Goh utilises holistic approaches to provide his patients with the best care that is individually tailored, to achieve naturally beautiful results with minimal downtime.

Dear Joo, Thank you for your question. What I can describe is what I do in my surgical practice but I cannot speak for the other surgeons who may have differing practices and hence the downtime and results may also be different. In my practice of facial fat grafting, I prefer to ...

Dear Tamara Sofia, This is a common question that I get asked all the time. It is good that you are asking these questions ahead of your surgery to prep properly. Plastic surgery is a journey and part of it requires you to be patient to give the body time to heal. Every surge...

Dear Allyj, Thank you for your question. I don't have a complete photo to make an assessment. However, from what I can see it seems that you do not need jaw reduction to make your face slimmer. I am unable to visualise the rest of your face to make a complete assessment. Botox he...
