Dr Terence Tan started Halley Medical Aesthetics in 2013, offering facial aesthetics treatments dedicated to rejuvenation, 3D enhancement of the face, as well as acne and acne scar treatments. His philosophy is to achieve the desired result using non- and minimally-invasive aesthetic treatments. Dr Terence Tan subsequently introduced body treatments as part of his medical aesthetics practice. Body treatments include weight management strategies and fat reduction with the use of the CoolSculpting fat freezing device.

In 2018, Dr Terence Tan expanded the Halley Medical Aesthetics brand with the launch of Halley Body Slimming Clinic, a medical clinic dedicated to weight loss and body contouring. The goal of Halley Body Slimming Clinic is to help people achieve their body goals through non-invasive treatments and weight loss products that are medically-proven, safe, effective, and affordable. Treatments include weight management, body contouring, body firming, and muscle toning.

A treatment highlight of Halley Body Slimming Clinic is QuadSculpting, a fat reduction treatment using four CoolSculpting devices at the same time to reduce treatment time.

Prior to setting up Halley Medical Aesthetics, Dr Terence Tan was the General Manager for the Specialist and Primary Care Division of Healthway Medical Group and Acting Vice President (Business Development) for the Parkway Shenton medical group. Dr Terence obtained his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery and Master of Medicine (Surgery) from the National University of Singapore (NUS). He was accepted as a Member of the Royal Colleges of Surgeons (Edinburgh) in 2003. He then furthered his training with medical aesthetic specialists.

Don't get what I mean? Here are some of the common terms used:

  • body shaping
  • body contouring
  • body sculpting
  • body slimming (although it is a different treatment)

In this article, I will clarify the confusion and debunk some misconceptions about body shaping.

A Doctor’s Ultimate Guide To Effectively Losing Weight

I will preface this article by agreeing with all of you; weight loss is indeed a challenging task! It requires a great deal of willpower to fight the endless temptations. I'm not going to pretend that it's easy.

Many patients come to me feeling very despondent. They've already tried countless of weight loss methods (from the Atkins diet, to the South Beach diet, to the Ketogenic diet), but to no avail. From my interactions with them, I know that they are at their wits' end.

Therefore, I have decided to write this article to help those of you who are struggling to lose weight. Weight loss is not an urban myth! With the right methods, you can achieve your desired weight.
