Most girls delay their periods via the use of hormonal pills.
As these pills contain hormones, common side effects can include bloating,headache, weight gain or acne.
Side effects experienced will depend on the individual as well.
If those pills are taken as a once off to delay your period due to reasons such as travel, there are usually no long lasting harmful effects.
However, these pills should only be taken under direct instructions from your doctor.
Taking them in the wrong manner or in the wrong dosage may result in unwanted side effects or a more irregular menstural cycle.
