Can cryotherapy remove keloids on the knees?Skin, Hair & Nails Aesthetic Medicine
I'm 18 years old. I have had keloid on my knees for 3 years. Can it be removed by cryotherapy?
Cryotherapy can be used as a treatment for keloids. Usually, a few session spaced about monthly may be used. It is unlikely to completely get rid of the keloid but may help to reduce the size of the keloids. Smaller keloids may respond better to this treatment.
Combining cryotherapy with intralesional steroid injection is also a good option and this may be more effective in reducing the size of the keloids.
