If the situation you were describing is completely accurate, the chances of pregnancy while being fully clothed and in the absence of penetrative sexual intercourse is almost impossible.

With that being said, if you are a sexually active young female who is not prepared for pregnancy, it would be best to speak to a a women's health doctor regarding suitable and safe birth control methods.

There are several options you can choose from and majority of the birth control methods are very effective in preventing an unwanted pregnancy and safe for you as well.

Hope this reassures you.

Hi, there is close to no chance of getting pregnant if you were both fully clothed.

There's a theoretical chance that one could get pregnant in this fashion given a very specific set of (unlikely) circumstances, but I've yet to come across any documented cases of someone getting pregnant in this manner.

Whatever the case this time, it seems that you are both spooked, so it's a good time to have a chat about using reliable contraception with your parter and doctor sooner rather than later.

Could I still be pregnant despite a negative pregnancy test if I’m experiencing brown discharge?

If you suspect there is a high chance of pregnancy, I would suggest repeating the urine pregnancy test in a week’s time. If it still negative then it is unlikely you are pregnant. Irregular bleeding like what you describe is not uncommon in PCOS even in the absence of pregnancy. I would recommend using contraception if you are sexually active. In addition to preventing pregnancy, contraception like the oral contraceptive pill (OCP) will make your periods regular and light, and prevent endometrial hyperplasia (build up of womb lining) which is very common in PCOS.

How likely am I to get pregnant if I had unprotected sex but he didn't ejaculate?

Hi, depending on where you are in your ovulation cycle, there is about a 20% chance of getting pregnant from unprotected sex. Ie for every 100 fertile women who have unprotected sex for a month, 20 of them get pregnant. You are more likely to conceive if you have unprotected sex during the middle 2 weeks of your cycle. You will have the highest risk of pregnancy by having unprotected sex 1 or 2 days before your ovulation starts as per the infographic below, when the ovary releases the egg. In your case, the risk of pregnancy is lower as your partner did not ejaculate.
