Can straightening my teeth with braces improve nasolabial fold lines?

Doctor's Answers 1

Thank you for your query. It depends on what you mean by improvement of the nasio-labial lines.

If the nasio-labial line is deepened because there is lack of support from your smile and your teeth are collapsed inwards, then braces may help improve these lines. Braces can be used to straighten your teeth and improve your smile arc which 'should' improve the naso-labial lines. I use the word 'should' as this is very variable between patients.

However if your naso-labial lines are not due to collapse of the teeth then braces will not help. I will normally refer these to my aesthetic medicine colleagues.

I hope this helps. Good luck!

What is the cost of Mbrace for relapsed crooked teeth after previous braces treatment?

Thanks for your question! The cost of MBrace aligners will differ from clinic to clinic. Some clinics will tailor a cost according to your treatment plan, whereas others will have a package price. Usually if you’ve had braces in the past and your teeth have relapsed (moved out of alignment), it is relatively simple to rectify and so generally this will reflect positively on the cost of your treatment. For MBrace, your doctor will need to provide an examination to assess suitability and to take some baseline records.
