Does a doctor's skill matter as much when it comes to using Infini compared to other procedures?

Hi,

In short, a doctor’s skill matters significantly not just for Infini treatment but for all aesthetic treatments.

Treatment outcomes are usually gauged by a balance of achieving good treatment outcomes and avoiding potential adverse effects. While equipment plays a role in this, perhaps more critical are:

  • Proper patient assessment,
  • Selecting the most appropriate treatment option,
  • Proper pre-procedure preparation,
  • Selecting the optimal treatment parameters based on the patient’s individual profile,
  • Proper administering of the actual treatment (knowing which areas to treat and which areas to avoid),
  • Proper post-procedure management.

Many of these factors are dependent on the experience and skills of the practitioner and the protocols the clinic has set in place.

What types of eczema treatment is available other than steroids?

For eczema management, you can broadly view it as treatment of the eczema rashes and maintenance of the condition. For the treatment of eczema: Topical steroids of various strengths are usually used for a short period of time to get the rashes under control. When used under supervision from your dermatologist, you are unlikely to develop serious side effects such as skin thinning etc. In cases where there is an overlying infection, antibiotics or antiviral medicines may need to be used. Just using steroids in such cases actually lead to worsening of eczema.
