Agnes RF treatment using a microfine needle was designed to treat both active as well as nodular cystic acne. The presence of these active lesions allows the operator to correctly introduce the RF needle to the base of the hair follicle which leads to the hypersecreting sebaceous glands. The RF energy will destroy the sebaceous gland leading to a clearance of the clogged sebum and inflammation.
By non-active, I presume you are referring to the leftover residual acne marks. Although we do really advocate treating these lesions, the RF needle can also be used to reduce the sebaceous gland activity in these lesions.
