Does LASIK enhancement for hyperopia require a longer recovery period?

Although we do not have the full picture of your case, it sounds like you had to undergo an enhancement for a rather rare change in power after three years. I wonder of the results of your LASIK was good soon after the surgery 3 years ago.

In general, in my experience of close to 10 years of performing LASIK, a successful LASIK enhancement surgery can produce recovery as quick as the original successful LASIK surgery, be it for myopia, astigmatism or hyperopia.

Even though the success rate of LASIK is very high, it still carries a small risk of side effects and possible complications.

You will indeed need a precise eye examination, power assessment and corneal tomography to ascertain what the underlying issues are. Do clarify and discuss with your surgeon as management options are usually available for them.
