What factors should I consider before choosing the type of non-surgical facelifts such as HIFU and ultherapy?

Basically HIFU and Ultherapy are referring to the same technology.

Ultherapy is the first and original HIFU technology used for the face and neck for skin tightening. HIFU is the generic technology of high intensity focused ultrasound. Since then, there are many different versions of HIFU being manufactured and sold to doctors.

The difference between Ultherapy and HIFU is not as big as Korean picosecond lasers (1064nm, 532nm Ndyag) and PicoSure (755nm Alexandrite laser), thus, what would influence your decision should be more of

  • the doctor’s experience using the treatment, the results he can achieve (based on before-after photos of his patients that he is able to show you)
  • the pain level (different HIFU machines and settings have different levels of pain)
  • and the kind of analgesia offered.

In my experience, using nerve blocks during HIFU treatment allows for a much higher level of patient comfort.

Having said that, there is a new facelifting device with Intelligent RF™️ and Logic Therapeutic Control™️ called TempSure which is a painless facelift and wrinkle-reducing device which you can look out for.

What are some effective methods to get rid of fat cheeks that are sagging? (photos)

First of all, rest assured that many other ladies identify with you, thanks to the multitude of "v-shape" face advertisements. Your face is like a ‘layered cake’. Simplified from outside to inside, the layers are: Skin Fat (we doctors call it subcutaneous tissue) Fascia or SMAS (tough fibrous tissue layer) Muscles and then Bone . i. e your skull Smoking destroys the elastin part of the skin. The skin tissue matrix has many components, not just collagen.

How does Ultherapy compare against fillers like Belotero for removing facial lines such as the nasal labial fold and tear trough?

Hi,Ultherapy and fillers serve complementary roles in improving the aging face. Ultherapy lifts and tightens the skin, reduces skin laxity and improves the definition of the lower face contours. Skin texture is also improved from the dual-depth treatment protocol currently being used. Fillers like Belotero plumb up the skin, fills up facial sunkeness including the tear troughs and nasolabial folds. There are distinct and well as overlapping benefits of the 2 therapies.
