Thanks for your question! I would really need to assess which is the area of the cheek/peri-oral area that is bothering you. Buccal fat removal reduces fat volume in a very specific area of the cheek. Other methods of cheek fat removal include facial microliposuction.

Buccal fat tends to be very lumpy. Hence, it is not the ideal material to be used in the eye hollow area/tear trough, as it tends to be a little lumpy in the first few months. I prefer to used fat from the tummy area that is properly processed into a very liquid form for that purpose. If you choose to use buccal fat, it would have to be very carefully morselised into small fragments and placed in through an opening on the inner aspect of the lower eyelid.

Removal of buccal fat will affect the areas of the cheek, and not the corner of the lips. A close simulation for buccal fat removal is by sucking in your cheeks to create a hollow under the cheek bones. This is quite far away from the corner of the lips. The corner of the lips are a separate region from the buccal fat region. It is very difficult to make an assessment based on just your description alone.

It depends on the quality of the fat. If the buccal fat removed is soft and not so fibrous, it can be processed to inject in the eye hollows. The results will depend on the processing and the absorption of the fat, as well as the depth of the eye hollows.

I hope my reply helps.

What is the best method between Botox, jaw reduction, or buccal fat removal to obtain a slimmer face and jawline? (photo)

You have a nice face shape to start with. :)If you wish to enhance your features and achieve a slimmer face with more defined jawline, I would suggest you to try the following treatments: 1) Chin Filler Dermal filler can be injected into the chin to achieve well-defined chin and more V-shaped looking face. Your face can look slimmer when your features are sharper. 2) Botox Jaw Reduction Botox jaw reduction is another popular treatment used to shrink jaw muscles so that the face will look slimmer and less square.

How effective is buccal fat removal in treating bruxism? (photo)

There is ZERO evidence that removal of buccal fat will cure or treat bruxism. At the moment, there is no cure for bruxism as it can be due to a deep-seated neurological program in the brain. All forms of therapy for bruxism (splints/bite guards, Botox, sleep apnoea management) only manage the peripheral effects such as destruction of teeth and restorations and pain. These treatments aim to limit irreversible damage to the teeth and restorations but will not cure or reduce the frequency at which a patient will brux.
