How do I treat tiny bumps all over my face? How much do those treatments cost? (photo)

Doctor's Answers 1

Hi,

From the photo, you may have multiple enlarged oil glands (sebaceous hyperplasias) and perhaps oil seeds (milia). An actual consultation and physical examination will be needed to confirm the diagnoses.

Treatment options include oral isotretinoin and local destruction using electrocautery or CO2 laser. Recurrences after successful treatment are expected.

Hope this helps!

Thanks for the very helpful picture. Your condition is typical of moderate to severe acne, due to the presence of active pimples, acne scars and comedones (or blackheads). The dark coloured, bigger lumps that you described is an infected cyst – the reason why it’s tender, swollen and dark coloured, is because your body mounts an inflammatory response to the clogged pores and trapped bacteria; similar to how your other pimples are formed.

Are uneven bumps and bruising normal after fillers and Botox? (photo)

Hi, There are two issues that you have raised that need first to be considered separately then together. A. The bruising results from leakage of blood into the skin due to injury to the small skin blood vessels from the injection. 1. This side-effect can be aggravated if you are taking blood thinners, painkilllers, gingko nuts or any medication and food that may cause the blood to clot less easily. 2.
