How effective is truSculpt iD in reducing body fat?

Doctor's Answers 1

Trusculpt ID is a hands-free Monopolar RF device designed to perform non-surgical fat reduction. It utilises 6 handpieces, each 40 cm sq. It allows to achieve coverage of body surface area up to 300 cm sq.

Each treatment session takes only 15 minutes and achieves an average fat reduction of 24%.

Depending on the amount of fat you have, you will usually be able to see results after 1-2 treatments. However, one may require more session in order to achieve your optimal goals. Treatment is not painful and feels like a hot stone massage with no downtime. Results are best seen 8-12 weeks after the last treatment session.

How effective is buccal fat removal in treating bruxism? (photo)

There is ZERO evidence that removal of buccal fat will cure or treat bruxism. At the moment, there is no cure for bruxism as it can be due to a deep-seated neurological program in the brain. All forms of therapy for bruxism (splints/bite guards, Botox, sleep apnoea management) only manage the peripheral effects such as destruction of teeth and restorations and pain. These treatments aim to limit irreversible damage to the teeth and restorations but will not cure or reduce the frequency at which a patient will brux.

Can a low body fat percentage of 17.5% cause irregular periods?

If a teenage girl does not get her period by the age of 16, she has primary amenorrhea (or absence of menses), which is typically caused by structural or chromosomal abnormalities or functional problems with the hypothalamus or pituitary gland. But when a woman who’s previously had her period stops menstruating for three months or longer, and she’s not pregnant or in menopause, it is called secondary amenorrhea. While secondary amenorrhea can have many causes, it’s important for a woman to find out why her periods have stopped.
