Chemical burn injury, as with all other forms of skin injury, will heal best under optimum wound healing conditions to minimize the risk of scarring. This usually means that the healing environment must be clean and moisture-controlled. Careful attention to wound cleansing and the use of an antiseptic cream/ointment or silver impregnated non-stick dressings are recommended.
Scarring may occur if the wound is deep or if it gets infected.

I agree with Dr Winston, definitely do not attempt IPL. Electrolysis can be very time consuming for large body parts as each hair follicle has to be treated individually, and it can be painful as well. I would suggest Diode or Long Pulse ND:Yag for laser hair removal. It is much more efficient and painless. All the best!
Hi, Silver sulfadiazine has antiseptic properties and will help prevent and treat burn wound infection allowing the wound to heal faster. It should be combined with gentle wound cleansing and the use of a non-stick wound dressing such as melolin for best results. Hope this helps!
