How is the mental health stigma like in Singapore?

This is something we need more data on. But if you look at the mental health campaigns or the communities for the help of psychiatric patients, those stigmas usually come from not just family or friends, but also in the workplace. In IMH for example, there have been a lot of efforts to try to debunk some misconceptions on psychiatric illnesses.

One of the famous examples I like to share is if you look at Ellen DeGeneres or JK Rowling, we may never be as successful or productive as them. But they have actually had depression sometime in their life. So this is quite heartening to see and inspiring. So I would usually use this example to remove the stigma that people might have with regard to the ability of patients. Whether it is a major depressive disorder or anxiety disorder. In Singapore, the workplace is the problem so we do have a rehabilitative centre that provides services, they are called Recovery Care. So we basically help them link up to prospective employees who are willing to show them that they can go out to work and in hopes to inspire people and show that they can work well.

Can Corneal Cross-Linking (CXL) still be performed a few months after LASIK, and are there benefits in doing so?

Yes, collagen cross-linking can be safely performed after the initial surgery. Although this is rarely performed in isolation. Most commonly it is performed as an adjunctive procedure during enhancement surgery (after the primary surgery) if required.

What could still cause sleepiness during the day even after good compliance using CPAP with AHI < 5?

Thank you for sharing your situation with us. May I offer a few suggestions. Firstly, it will be good to make a distinction between fatigue and sleepiness. For someone who is fatigued or tired, some rest may help. For someone with sleepiness due to insufficient sleep or poor sleep quality at night, then a nap in the afternoon may be useful. Secondly, it will be good to consider the onset of your daytime sleepiness. For many normal individuals, in a 24 hour period, there are two periods where a person will feel especially sleepy.
