Dentist, Oral Surgeon

Thanks for the question. The cost of a jaw surgery in Singapore costs upward of $10,000. This excludes fees for pre and post orthodontics, anaesthetist, operating theatre, hospital admissions.

Jaw surgery is a highly technical procedure practiced by oral & maxillofacial surgeons.

The exact fee varies depending on the following factors:

  • Complexity of patient’s condition – a double jaw surgery will have higher fees than a single jaw surgery
  • Amount of experience of surgeon – an oral surgeon who has more years of experience would have seen and done more cases of jaw surgery
  • Public healthcare institute or private dental practice – surgeon fees in private dental practices may be higher than those in public healthcare institutes
  • Hospital charges – the number of days patient needs to be hospitalised and whether the hospital is public or private will play a part
