Acne leave behind mainly ice-pick or box-car scars. The base of each scar is held down by connective scar tissue. My preferred method is to use a combination of laser treatment and Rejuran Injections to improve the overall texture of the skin.
The PicoWay has an attachment called the RESOLVE handpiece. When the laser enters the skin, it creates areas of cavitation under the skin called Laser Induced Optical Breakdowns. This helps to disrupt the connective tissue holding the base of the scar down.
Additional use of Rejuran Healer injections under the scar both helps in aiding healing and further disruption of the same tissue. Rejuran Healer contains Polynucleotides (PDRN) which have tissue repair stimulating agents. Results will vary individually and several sessions are needed for good results. These are spaced 4 weeks apart.
You can expect redness and mild swelling which is mainly from the Rejuran for about 3-5 days.
