If you have not experienced a menstrual period for 1 year or more then you have officially started your menopause. This can be confirmed by testing your blood hormone levels which should show correspondingly low female hormones. As the body adapts to these hormonal changes, some women may also complain of menopausal symptoms (from mild to severe) like hot flushes, night sweats, tiredness, joint & muscle aches, anxiety & depression, mood swings, lack of concentration, vaginal dryness, urgency of urine and insomnia. fortunately these symptoms can be treated and most women can start living their normal lives again.
