Is high-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) safe when breastfeeding?

High-intensity focused ultrasound is a novel non-invasive technology used for the treatment of tumours in many parts of our body, ie uterine, breast, kidney, liver and prostate. HIFU is safe to be used on the body or the face for nursing mothers. Just inform the doctor before any treatment that you are breast feeding. Even then, most pain killer medications are fine to be consumed during breast feeding.
