The gold standard for the treatment of Peyronie’s disease would be surgical correction. Surgery also gives the best outcome and fastest result.
Other treatments options include penile traction therapy, vacuum erection devices as well as low intensity shockwave treatment.
Low intensity shockwave treatment works well for pain control especially during the acute phase of the disease but has less convincing effect on dealing with the penile curvature.
The FDA- approved collagenase injection therapy is not available in Singapore. Others have tried using other injectable medications.
Oral medications at best stabilize the plaque so that the curvature does not worsen as quickly.
