In my humble opinion, it is still wise to find out the cause of your child’s stomach pain. In my experience, some of the more common causes include (but not limited to) non-specific abdominal colic, constipation, stomach flu and even appendicitis (which is a surgical emergency), etc.

Simple symptomatic medication such as Colimix can be purchased off the counter at any retail pharmacy.

If in doubt, please do not hesitate to visit your GP or a Paediatrician for a detailed consultation.

Could stomach pain and difficulty passing motion be a sign of cancer?

Cancer of the digestive tract is not very common in your age group (36 years). However, there can at times be exceptions, especially if you have a family history of cancer. Perhaps you may need to consult a doctor with the view to a gastroscopy and colonoscopy if the attending doctor is of the opinion that your symptoms are serious.

How do cardiologists diagnose postpartum SCAD (spontaneous coronary artery dissection), and how will it affect me in future?

Hi there I am sorry to hear of your experience. SCAD or spontaneous coronary artery dissection does sound likely given that it occurred 10 days postpartum (SCAD more likely to occur in the last trimester & in the last 4 weeks post delivery). ECG changes and raised troponin would be classed as Acute Coronary Syndrome (ACS) secondary to SCAD.
