What are effective treatment options to stop excessive sweating?Skin, Hair & Nails Aesthetic Medicine
I am 22 years old and have been experiencing sweating problems since young. Areas affected are the face, head, neck, back. I noticed it has gotten worse even with just light movements on a hot day - I will perspire buckets. I have tried avoiding caffeine, dairy, and spicy food but seen no improvement.
It has affected my confidence quite a bit. I would like to know what are the other options available apart from surgery or drugs that may cause side effect when used long term. I am seeking for effective and hopefully natural options that can be more permanent.
From my perspective, you should check your blood with a doctor - make sure your thyroid and testosterone are normal. I would assume you are not on any recreational medications etc.
One treatment can be localised botulinum toxin into the armpits or palms area which is the most socially troublesome/problematic regions. However, it doesn't work for the back.
This treatment also has to be done regularly, and it works by intercepting nerve messages on sweat secretion.
Sadly, it isn't technically natural nor permanent.
Another treatment which can be done is to utilise microwaves. See Mira-dry
