Thank you for your question!(:
There are various ways to whiten your teeth. In order of the “efficiency” and “effectiveness” as what you mentioned, I would rank them accordingly as such from fastest to slowest:
- In office teeth whitening (in the dental clinic)- generally an hour or so
- Take home teeth whitening kits (from a dentist)- may take days to 2 weeks
- OTC teeth whitening products- variable effects
Teeth whitening effects are generally “quickened” when the concentration is higher. However with higher concentrations, there is increased chances of having temporary teeth sensitivity. It may be wise to speak to your dentist and see if he recommends application of desensitizing agent on your teeth, or even prescription of NSAIDs (painkillers) prior to treatment.
Depending on the date of your wedding, you may also consider the option of take home teeth whitening kits, which generally has a lower concentration of the active ingredient. This may thus maybe lessening the side effect of temporary teeth sensitivity, but this would entail a longer usage time to achieve the same results.
Hope this would help you in making your final decision!(:
