Clogged milk ducts are a very common occurrence with breastfeeding mothers and tend to be a huge problem due to the pain and difficulties it brings with potential infection of the milk ducts.

Some tips to unclog your milk ducts can include:

  • Using a breast pump to pump out any residual milk if the baby is unable to latch properly
  • Breastfeeding at more regular intervals
  • Changing your breastfeeding position to improve the latch of the baby
  • Using a warm cloth to apply warm compress to reduce swelling and pain
  • Using cold cabbage compress to reduce inflammation and swelling for engorged breasts
  • Massaging the milk ducts towards the nipple to help with unclogging it

Hope this helps.
