What are the long term effects of threadlifts over a 10 year period, and will skin elasticity and collagen be affected?

Doctor's Answer

Thank you for your question.

As we age, our skin loses its elasticity and collagen. Threadlift reverse the process by mechanical lifting and restoring volume loss by stimulating collagen production.

You are certainly right that it is non-permanent and the longevity usually depends on the type of threads used.

To answer your question: the skin's elasticity and collagen production will not be affected by having multiple threads over 10-20 years, but it does happen naturally with aging process.

I would suggest to combine different type of treatment modalities, depending on what suits you best over the course of 10-20 years. Do discuss with your doctor to decide on what treatment works for you. I hope this helps.

Thank you and all the best.

Regards,

Vincent
