The symptoms of 'gallbladder attacks' can be very varied. The most common symptom is just an upper abdominal vague discomfort of which you may just feel 'bloated' or have 'gas' in your belly. It usually happens after a meal even though the amount consumed may not be a lot. Occasionally, when there is acute inflammation of the gallbladder, then you will feel a more severe pain in the right side of the upper abdomen.

What are the common symptoms of gastritis and how long does it usually last?

Gastritis is a term almost synonymous with upper abdominal pain although they actually do carry different meanings. Gastritis is a tissue level diagnosis indicating inflammation of the stomach lining which may or may not manifest as pain or discomfort. Mild gastritis is very common and does not require treatment if asymptomatic. Depending on the underlying cause of gastritis, this inflammation can exist over a different time period. Symptomatic gastritis may persist until the underlying cause such as Helicobacter pylori infection or the excessive use of strong pain killer has been addressed.
