What can I do for redness and atrophic scars after completing a course of Accutane (photo)?

Doctor's Answers 2

Looking at your photos, my suggestions for you are:

Treatment with injectable Rejuran S. Rejuran S is a Korean salmon Polynucleotide which is hypoallergenic, with excellent reparative, regenerative and anti-inflammatory, anti-redness effect on post acne scars and redness.

It helps to improve and lift your depressed acne scars through the stimulation of collagen cell repair and regeneration. It's anti-inflammatory effect aids in the reduction of post acne redness and inflammation. You will need at least 4 treatment sessions, performed one month apart.

Treatments will result in progressively smoother skin with scar lifting, even-colored skin, improved hydration and elasticity.

No downtime laser toning can complement the above treatment to improve
the redness on your face.

You should definitely add differin to your regime and consider starting laser early.

I will suggest a combination of vascular laser (Excel V) and Picosure Focus array lens or Fractional laser. Hopefully the atrophic scars can be improved to a good extent since the scars are still new!

What are the treatments I can go through for oily skin, large pores, acne scars, and small bumps on the face? (Photo)

Hi there,For your skin issues as seen in the picture and described by you, there are 2 main options. 1. Chemical peels - chemical solutions safe for skin application like salicylic acid , lactic acid etc can be applied on the skin for 1-2 minutes and then washed off or neutralized by another solution. It causes exfoliation of dead skin cells, reduces inflammation , kills bacteria and stimulates renewal of skin. 2. Picosecond lasers with Focus Lens mode - my favourite is PicoSure, the first USA FDA-approved picosecond laser.

What factors do doctors consider when determining the best treatment for atrophic scars?

Skin scarring, especially atrophic acne scars (or what many of my patients refer to as pitted or depressed scars), is such a common skin woe that can seriously affect many people regardless of severity. Acne scar treatment - with its wide array, is unsurprisingly overwhelming for most patients who are looking to start their treatment.
