What could be the cause of a white discharge from my penis?Urology Sexual Health Men's Health
I noticed once that whenever I need to “pass motion”, when I push hard, I noticed a gluten-like white discharge appeared at the tip of the penis. I encountered this years ago and went to the doctor, and was prescribed with antibiotics. I remembered the doctor ruled out anything STD related. What will that be?
It will be hard to ascertain, but if you have no symptoms, it may well be some prostatic fluid/seminal fluid that was exuded due to increased intra-abdominal pressure.
That said, a STD evaluation should still be done, as each encounter should be treated separately.
Do follow up with a doctor if you have doubts at all.
It could be prostatic fluid as mentioned by Dr Winston, or possible infection with Candida, chlamydia, gonorrhoea or herpes simplex virus.
You will need a full STD workup or urine and blood tests to ascertain the cause.
