What could cause hip pain in a young adult for 1 month?

Doctor's Answers 1

I’m sorry to hear about your pain symptoms.

There can be many different causes for hip pain ranging from degenerative changes, hip flexor tightness, gluteus medius tendonopathy, hip impingement or a labral tear.

The position you are putting your hip into is similar to the Fabers test position and could be suggestive of a labral injury - quite why you have developed this without any trauma needs further evaluation.

You would probably benefit from an assessment if the symptoms are ongoing - you could see a MSK/Sports Phsycian or physiotherapist who can take a history and examine you. The former can also do an ultrasound for you in the clinic itself. Treatment will depend on the assessment.

Hope this helps.

What are possible causes of left hip pain in MMA practitioner?

I’m sorry to hear about your pain. For an active sportsman, that certainly can be quite distressing. I don’t think you have dislocated as that will really really be painful and will be hard to walk. But popping sounds can be a sign of other illnesses, perhaps you might want to see a doctor to get it properly diagnosed, there are some “childhood” diseases that can predispose patients to hip injuries.

What are possible causes of a dent on the nose since young?

Thank you for your question. I'm not exactly sure what you are referring to when you mention a huge dent in the nose. As you rightly pointed out, one of the common causes for depressions in the nose is from traumatic injury to the nasal bone. If you are sure that there is no previous trauma to the nose, the other possibility is acne scars. Depending on the severity this can be treated with CO2 lasers, fillers or fat grafts.
