What factors affect the price of dental veneers?

Doctor's Answers 1

Dental veneers are coverings over the natural teeth to improve, reinforce and/or protect the teeth. The cost depends on the material used(composite or porcelain) and the laboratory supply price. Local factors such as the experience of the dentist, the location of the clinic and the number of teeth to be veneered.

There is a recorded webinar on Dental Veneers on this website that you may find helpful. https://www.human.com.sg/dental-veneers-dr-kevin-ong and I have also written an article which discusses the different prices of dental veneers. https://www.human.com.sg/dental-veneers-singapore

Would dental crowns or veneers be a better solution for protruding and discoloured teeth? (photo)

Crowns can correct more severe tooth discolouration than veneers because they can be made thicker without affecting how well the crown can stay on the tooth. Veneers should be bonded to mostly (or only) enamel for the best chance of long term success (the veneer not falling off or staining at the edges). To ensure that enamel remains after tooth preparation, only about 0. 5mm of tooth structure can be trimmed off.

What do I need to consider when it comes to Dental Veneers?

Dental veneers change the colour, shape and position of your teeth. There are two types of veneers: direct—which are composite fillings—and indirect.
