What is the best age for botox to prevent wrinkles?

Doctor's Answers 2

Hi Isa ,

there’s no right age to start with Botox.

"The right time comes when you notice strong wrinkles forming when you make expressions like raising your eyebrows (forehead lines ), smiling (crow’s feet around the eye corners) , frowning (number 11 lines between your eyebrows) . These lines are dynamic lines – meaning they only form when you express with those muscles . It’s to prevent static lines (lines which are present even when no expression) from forming ."

It depends on your needs.

You must discuss your social needs and career needs with your doctor before you start on your Botox journey.

What is the best treatment for forehead wrinkles in Singapore? How effective is Botox, and how long does it last for?

Yes, the forehead lines will only get worse over time and it is important to use Botox to weaken those muscles to prevent the lines from becoming permanent ones. Once you start Botox, you just need to go for it every 4-6 months. Alternatively, you can leave it alone and your wrinkles WILL become permanently etched – it’s just a matter of time before it happens. Whether to go for botox treatments depend on how aggressive are you towards reducing wrinkles of expression on your face.

What are alternative treatments to Botox and HIFU for saggy cheeks? (photo)

Hi Your cheeks aren’t actually fat or really that saggy. I think you may be confused! If you mean that you had Botox for your masseters, that may actually contribute more to the saggy cheeks due to a sudden loss of bulk of your masseters without a corresponding lift of the cheek tissues, thus resulting in more sagginess. For your case, you would do well with a non-invasive threadlifting procedure that will lift the cheeks, nasolabial folds, and the jowls all at the same time. I personally prefer Silhouette Soft and Mint Lift for this purpose.
