What is the difference between the retainers worn after braces and the retainers worn after Invisalign treatment?

Doctor's Answers 1

The one that you get after you are done with braces is usually from a local lab, just a standard hard plastic.

The Invisalign aligners themselves are different, they are more flexible and they have small features built into the aligners. This means they don’t contact the teeth evenly; they contact the teeth at certain points more than the others because they want more movement at these specific pressure points. That is how they work very well.

What are the contraindications for getting Invisalign, Zenyum, Clear Smile etc.?

Clear aligner as a treatment alternative to traditional braces is indeed a growing market, thanks to the advances in 3D technology. It is no wonder that in recent times, there are quite a few clear aligner companies in the market. Invisalign, Zenyum and Clear Smile are all laboratories that produce clear aligners which are custom made appliances that gradually push teeth to effect the same result as braces except that these braces are less conspicuous, more comfortable and removable.

In the past, IPR is done first at the beginning of the treatment process. However, things have changed.
