The stitches done for alarplasty is usually removed after 1 week.

Alarplasty can be done alone but it is often done in combination with tip-plasty or dorsal augmentation surgery. If done alone, the recovery period for alarplasty can be rather short.

I review my patients on the 5th day after surgery and that's when the stitches are removed. There may be residual swelling, of which most of it would settle within the next 2 weeks. Final results are best observed after 6 months. Most patients are able to return to work within 5-7 days.

Hope this answers your question.

Have a great week ahead!

What is the difference between surgical and non-surgical permanent eye bag removal? (photo)

Looking at the picture, there are a few issues in the lower eyelids that need to be addressed in order to completely rejuvenate the lower eyelid: the bulging eyebag the deep tear troughs and lid-cheek junction lines mid face flattening and skin excess. The extent of correction desired would impact on a few things: recovery time, scarless vs non-scarless approach and the "permanence" of the procedure.

What are effective treatments to remove fat under the chin? (photo)

Thank you for your question and sharing your photo. There are many options for removing fat and sculpting the chin. They include facial massage, injections to dissolve fat, cryolipolysis, and liposuction. Some methods are effective whilst others may not be. Cryolipolysis is a method of fat removal by freezing of the fat cells using the application of a handpiece to cool the tissue to sub-zero temperatures (between -11 to +5 °C). This is a non-invasive technique that allows localised reduction of fat deposits. One or more sessions may be required to get the desired outcomes.
