What non-invasive aesthetic treatments can a male do to look better?

Doctor's Answers 4

With men nowadays putting more emphasis on their appearance, the male aesthetics and anti Aging segment sees a huge potential in growth.

However it is important to realise that the male patient has certain characteristics that differs from the female.

Firstly the male patient is more likely to approve of non invasive treatments that offers gradual improvements with little or no downtime and minimal adverse effects.

Secondly most males are more likely to request a procedure that is less painful and does not require that many visits to the clinic.

I would like to divide the possible non invasive treatments into Face /Skin / Hair / Body.

For Face

1. Botulinum toxin injections to improve the forehead/ glabellar and corow’s feet are commonly requested.

2. Filler injections for Chin and Nose Augmentation

3, Filler injections for smile lines and marionette lines , under eye hollows and eyebags

4. Filler and or energy based devices like RF/ HIFU for jawline contouring and skin tightening.

For Skin

1. Facials and Lasers to improve overall complexion and reduce pore size and acne scarring if present.

2, Lasers to improve skin pigmentation

For Hair

1, Treatments to improve male pattern hair loss either in the form of oral medication / topicals / vitamins

2, Regenera Activa treatments that uses the Stromal Vascular Fraction ( SVF ) for Hair regrowth,

For Body

1 Non invasive fat reduction treatments like cryolipolysis, RF , HIFU and laser .

2. Body shaping treatments like Trilipo and X wave and Exilis RF

3, HIFEM devices that are supposed to build abdominal muscles .

Hope this helps.

HI!

If it's specifically jaw sculpting, I'll like to recommend botox jawline slimming for the massaters and HIFU (High intensity focused ultrasound). In combination, these procedures lift the lower face and give more definition to jawline. They are also one time treatments and repeat treatments are 6 months later!

For some patients, adding a bit of fillers for chin will further improve the jaw definition.

Do not neglect skin pigmentation! I will usually clear up any brown spots and acne at the same time because a clear and healthy skin also makes a male look better!

Best regards

1. Skin tightening energy devices such as Thermage or Ulthera are a good start for males in their 40s who desire firmer skin with less wrinkles. This is a yearly affair with the doctor and has no downtime. Results of a slight lift can be seen immediately on completion of half face and the best results are seen after 5 months of collagen remodelling. Both these procedures can improve the jawline definition of the face.

2. Skin brightening lasers are important to reduce uneven colour tone caused by pigmentation and to reduce redness of the skin due to increased reactivity of small veins on the face. This requires a program of at least six sessions at monthly intervals.

3. Finally laser enhanced delivery of therapeutic skincare products can enhance the delivery of these products into the skin. Products such as vitamin A and C and even pigmentation lighteners can be delivered into the skin through mutiple tiny laser channels in the skin. This is done regularly at monthly intervals as well.
