I’m sure you had your Hepatitis B titres done (and received your Hep B boosters, if necessary) before matriculating. Besides these, you won’t need any other further investigations throughout med school.
Before starting medical school, they also check for Hep C, HIV, and your immunisation status to mmr, varicella and pertussis.
Usually only Hep B is the problem because 50% of ppl don’t have enough antibodies, and some ppl need to get jabs for like 2 or 3 years.
On top of these, most med schools strongly encourage their students to get their annual flu jabs, both to protect yourselves and your patients!
Prior to starting your housemanship, you will be sent for another round of checkups and tests, just as you would before starting work in any other company. This includes a HIV test.
