When is the right time to remove TransPlatal Arch (TPA) & Lingual Arch?
I had been wearing braces with both TPA(Upper) & Lingual Arch(lower). I had been wearing since last Nov(about 4mths), and it was really uncomfortable because the orthodontist had “increase the height” so that there is space for my last molar to shift inwards.
I have difficulty chewing my food as only the 2nd last molar is the one assisting me to chew.
May i know in what kind of condition would it be ready to removed these annoying arches? i couldnt eat / drink food that are too cold or hot because i would get burned tongue, and i had issue pronouncing my words, and many times the other party would hear wrongly, especially when my current company is continental company with many caucasian colleagues.
Would it help to expedite the process if i request the orthodontist to tighten as much possible?
I had gummy teeth, the condition of my teeth are too “technical” for me understand haha.
Hi Surfy – I’m very sorry for the late reply as we are getting proper orthodontists on board to address your question!
Your question is a bit “cheem” to be honest, and friends I have discussed this with so far all agree that you should probably discuss your above issues with the orthodontist who is already seeing you.
Just dropping you a quick response to let you know that we have picked up your question, pending a proper orthodontist’s reply 🙂
