Surgical forms of treatment for these conditions include: colectomy, ileo/colostomy, polypectomy, strictureplasty, hemorrhoidectomy (in severe cases of hemorrhoids), anoplasty, and more depending on the condition the patient has.

Diagnostic procedures, such as a colonoscopy, are very important in colorectal surgery, as they can tell the physician what type of diagnosis should be given and what procedure should be done to correct the condition.

Other diagnostic procedures used by colorectal surgeons include: proctoscopy, defecating proctography, sigmoidoscopy. In recent times, the laparoscopic method of surgery has seen a surge of popularity, due to its lower risks, decreased recovery time, and smaller, more precise incisions achieved by using laparoscopic instruments.

Dr Wong is a caring, attentive and experienced doctor. He has been looking after me since I was diagnosed with colon cancer in 2013. I have been following Dr Wong's advice and been in remission ever since.

I'm glad that I chose to see a private practice doctor rather than waiting for my turn at a public hospital.

I believe this made a huge difference in the good outcome of my condition. Thank you again Dr Wong.

Last year my aunt was diagnosed with colon cancer. She was told to wait more than a month for her appointment at a local hospital. On a friend's recommendation, we went to see Dr Wong at Mount Elizabeth Orchard.

Dr Wong is truly a knowledgeable and caring doctor. We made the right decision to choose to see a private doctor instead of waiting in the public queue while my aunt's condition festered..... and with God's grace we made the right decision to choose Dr Wong I believe he helped to save my aunt's life and we will always be grateful for his care.

Thank you so much Dr Wong. We wish you the very best.

Dr. Wong is an excellent colorectal surgeon whose main priority is making sure his patients are comfortable and get the best treatment he can offer. I visited his clinic for gastrocopy and colonoscopy scans. The results turn out that I have hermorrhoids. Gosh, I have heard enough stories of the treatment, and all the horrid post surgery experiences. While it seems like a common thing for men like me in the 40s, it's definitely not one of the thing I want to go through. Thanks to Dr Wong for his patience, encouraging words and careful treatment, I managed to pull through the 3 weeks of healing process. The clinic staffs are helpful, thorough and informative. While i sincerely hopes that I do not have to visit the clinic again, if there's any need to, Dr Wong is definitely my first choice.

Great doctor, explained in detail my situation and possible ways to get rid of my problems. Being patient enough to understand and gave several thorough checks before the surgery. Gave enough information and reminders before and after the surgery. Definitely recommend to those who wants a dedicated doctor.
