Dr Quan is a very caring and personable doctor who makes his patients and family members feel at ease. I felt safe in his good hands. I would highly recommend Dr Quan to anyone who would need his services.
Dr Quan is caring, friendly and professional. He makes patients and family members feel at ease. Dr Quan also explains well. More importantly, it is imperative to find a doctor with a heart for those under his care. Am pleased to say that Dr Quan is one such doctor. Cheers
You can tell that Dr Ivy Yap (her chinese name is Yap Lian Eng) has extensive experience in her field.
However, we felt as though she does not genuinely care for her patients and that we are just a source of income for her. She is expensive to consult and yet she rushed through the consultations. She would fiercely scold us and show great displeasure when we do not go for follow-up checks, even though we explained due to financial constraints it was not possible. Also, she is impatient when it comes to explaining the procedures and expects us to blindly trust her judgment.
We actually dread our appointments with her.
I was admitted at Mt Alvernia Hospital and they didn't have any gastroenterologists available there when I needed them, so Dr Roland Chong from Mt Elizabeth was called. He did a scope and came in again in the evening to tell me that it showed positive for bacterial infection.
I had many questions but Dr Roland Chong had little time for me, no more than 5 minutes. I had to half-chase him all the way to wherever he was going, for my answers. Thinking back, it irritated me. Isn't it the doctor's responsibility to explain to the patient what is her condition, how it happened and what to avoid in the future? I was not expecting him to sit down for half an hour with me, just 10-15minutes.
To give him some credit, the scope and coloscopy were nicely done and I didn't feel any discomfort after the procedures.
Dr Lui Hock Foong is calming and speaks in soft tones. He is approachable and has the kindest heart. Dr Lui has a pleasant disposition and has always put me as a patient first just like all his other patients. I remember once texting him from a bad episode of food poisoning and he was there in a jiffy at the A&E to take care of me.
I have personally sent a few good friends to see him and they all return telling me they are very happy with his doctoring and that he made each patient understand their condition without making them feel ignoramus of their ailment.
Dr Kelvin Thia was my gastroenterologist. He is a nice and soft-spoken doctor, who answers all your questions with great patience and reassures you along the way.
Dr Chew Chay Noi is a caring doctor who is clear in her explanations. She is also very comforting and I look forward to seeing her when my gastric problems flare up
